Welcome to beautiful Xinjiang! After airport pickup, you'll be transferred to your hotel for the day and free at your own leisure. If time permits, you can visit recommended attractions on your own (separate transportation not included). The driver and steward will notify you of your departure time the next day via text or phone. Please check back.
S21 Desert Expressway: Xinjiang's first desert expressway starts from Fuhai County in Altay Prefecture in the north and ends in Urumqi in the south, with a total length of 342.5 kilometers. It is China's first desert adventure tourism demonstration expressway featuring in-depth integration of transportation and tourism.
Kela Meili Desert Park: Located in the hinterland of the Gurbantünggüt Desert, it is accessible via the S21 Desert Expressway. The park offers various entertainment activities such as the "Thrilling Step" high-altitude walkway, desert dune buggies, and UTV racing.
Wucai Beach: Situated 24 kilometers north of Burqin County in Altay Prefecture, Xinjiang, it is praised by Chinese National Geography as "the most beautiful Yadan sunset spot in Xinjiang". Bounded by the Irtysh River, one side features Danxia landforms glowing like fire, while the other side is covered with lush oases, presenting a visual spectacle of "one river separating two banks, each with a totally different scenery".
Arrive at Kanas Scenic Area, take the shuttle bus to visit its highlights — Kanas, known as "Switzerland of the East" and "Photographers' Paradise", boasts glaciers, lakes, grasslands, primeval forests, plus mysterious lake monster legends and Tuvan culture. Then drive to Hemu Village (18:00 - 19:30), wandering through its idyllic scenery of smoke, sheep, wooden houses, birch forests and Hemu River, like the "Hobbit Shire". Take the Hemu shuttle bus (19:30 - 20:30) to check in, enjoy free time and dinner (recommended Hemu hot pot). For Yuyutai, climb 1068 steps along the plank road — reach the top to overlook Kanas Lake (like a blue dragon) and search for "lake monster" traces, perfect for taking photos.
This is a road that leads to a secret place deep in the soul. Along the way, the grasslands are as vast as a green ocean, the forests are like emerald inlays, and the snow-capped mountains in the distance are like holy gods guarding this land. As the car drives slowly, the scenery outside the window passes by like a movie scene, and every turn brings unexpected surprises, making people intoxicated.
Journey to the Urho Ghost City: a fantastical adventure through time and space. The snow-capped mountains and grasslands of Altay unfold like a painting, shimmering in a blend of silver and emerald green under the morning light, setting a dreamlike starting point for this journey.
12:30-1:30 PM Enjoy lunch at your own leisure in Urho Town.
1:30-4:30 PM Arrive at the Urho Ghost City, a marvel of nature. Time has sculpted a myriad of Yardang landforms. The setting sun casts a mystical and captivating golden glow over these diverse rock formations. The wind whistles through the canyon, evoking an ancient call, enchanting the senses of nature and its wildness. Take the scenic train to listen to the stories of "Kela" and "Mayi" here. You can choose to ride a camel and stroll around the scenic area to experience the desert style. You can also take photos of "Lingbo Weibu" and "Dapeng Spreading Wings".
Sailimu Lake, known as "the last tear of the Atlantic Ocean," shimmers beneath azure skies and white clouds. Circling the lake, every turn reveals a picturesque scene, like sailing through endless poetry. The gentle breeze along the lakeside, carrying the coolness of the water and the fragrance of nature, is refreshing and invigorating, as if all worries have been swept away by the wind.
The Muttar Desert is a place free of commercialization, preserving the most pristine natural beauty. The sand is fine and untouched, with no traces of footprints. The ripples of wind-blown sand add a unique beauty to the desert. The Muttar Desert also offers a wealth of activities, including thrilling dune-bashing rides and a thrilling camel ride.
International Grand Bazaar, which means "market" or "farmers' market" in Uyghur, is not only a symbol of Xinjiang's commercial and tourism prosperity, but also an important window for tourists to understand Xinjiang's ethnic customs.
We will send you off at the airport according to the flight schedule. Happy times always pass quickly, and now it is time for us to say goodbye. We hope that this short trip to Xinjiang will leave you with good memories and we look forward to seeing you again.
